Master P is opening up about his challenges in the food industry.

Days ago, the No Limit mogul sat down with “Traffic Sales and Profit” host Lamar Tyler to discuss his business success.  When Tyler asked P about whether food or music was more difficult to start, the 54-year-old quickly explained how the cereal industry was not the easiest to crack.  Part of this stemmed from the lack of representation.

“In this lane, it’s nobody but me and Snoop,” P explained, referring to their joint-owned Snoop Cereal.

The pair sued both Walmart and Post Foods in February, claiming that the companies worked together to keep Snoop Cereal off store shelves.  Customers and fans of the rappers made videos in the Walmart breakfast aisle, seemingly proving that the food was absent.  Post fired back, claiming they made investments in P and Snoop’s business, but the demand was lower than expected.  It’s unclear if the lawsuit is ongoing, but P explained to Tyler that he has no plans to stop his efforts.

“On the cereal side, it’s scary because even our own people are afraid…We was on the corner, ducking, dodging bullets.  You think I’ma be afraid of these people in corporate America telling us what we can’t do?” he shared during the panel.

P has also introduced several other food brands, including his Master Crunch Cereal.  He is also a partner of Rap Snacks, which features rap artists on the cover of its chip bags.  Additionally, P and Snoop have their Momma Snoop oatmeal brand, which he promises is a healthy option.
