AG Radio Welcome to the best night of your life
When it rains, it pours. Kehlani made headlines after linking up with their “twin” Chris Brown. Many fans called out the singer for reuniting with Brown, especially since he previously made fun of their suicide attempt. Just shortly after, Kehlani — who uses she/they pronouns — found themself being the topic of discussion once again after their child’s father, Javaughn Young-White, filed for full custody of their 5-year-old daughter, Adeya. According to court documents, Young-White claimed that his name is not included on Adeya’s birth certificate because Kehlani allegedly delivered their daughter “through a home birth orchestrated by what I would describe as a cult.”
“For the past five years, I have requested a copy of Adeya’s birth certificate and for my name to be added to her birth certificate to no avail,” the court documents reads.
Additionally, Young-White says Kehlani is withholding Adeya’s social security number from him and believes that his daughter might not actually have one “based on [Kehlani’s] actions and behavior,” adding fuel to the cult rumors. Young-White alleges that Kehlani has been affiliated with this unknown cult “for the past few years.” To further his attempt at sole custody, Young-White added that the cult “controls [Kehlani’s] actions and her behavior, including when it comes to the upbringing of our daughter.”
“For example, the cult leader, who goes by the name of Neto, convinced Respondent that he had a vision that I was a danger to our daughter and would kill her, and thereafter banned Respondent from allowing me to see Adeya,” the documents continued. “Based on this ‘vision’ by her cult leader, Respondent prevented me from seeing our daughter for months.”
But here is where things get messier. Young-White also stated that he has learned that Neto has “numerous accusations of committing sexual assault against women and young girls.” To make the situation worse, Young-White claimed that Neto allegedly performs “religious ceremonies” on his daughter but no one else is “allowed to be in the room” whenever he conducts them.
“When I discovered this on her birthday in 2023, I was physically restrained and threatened by members of the ‘cult’ when I attempted to retrieve our daughter,” Young-White stated. “I also learned that Respondent allows a member of the cult that she calls ‘Messiah,’ an adult woman, to take baths with Adeya while being under the influence of psychedelic drugs.”
Nevertheless, Young-White is seeking to not only be included on Adeya’s birth certificate but also full custody and child support.
