Live from Atlanta, The Baller Alert Show hosts Ferrari Simmons, BT, and guest co-host JoJo Alonzo welcomed a special guest—Washington, D.C.’s very own rapper Fat Trel. In a lively episode packed with laughter, street talk, and hard-hitting conversations, Trel didn’t hold back as he discussed everything from the changing dynamics of the music industry to the culture of his hometown.

The crew jumped right into a hot topic: 50 Cent’s upcoming Netflix docu-series on the allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs. Unsurprisingly, the hosts weren’t shocked. “When 50 says he’s gonna do something, you know it’s happening,” Ferrari stated, emphasizing that 50 doesn’t miss when it comes to making bold moves.

Fat Trel chimed in, agreeing that 50 Cent has built a reputation for being relentless. “That’s one person you don’t want beef with—because it’ll never end,” BT added, bringing up 50’s long list of ongoing feuds.

In between talking about Diddy’s businesses, Ferrari Simmons and BT got  into the complexities of the liquor industry and Diddy’s role with Cîroc and DeLeón. They discussed how Diddy’s ownership and ambassador deals were more strategic than people realized, making Cîroc a cultural phenomenon.

Trel had his own take: “I didn’t know all that, but it makes sense how Diddy blew up Cîroc. Nobody was touching that until he put his name on it.”

The conversation shifted to a more serious topic: snitching. With the YSL trial and Young Dolph’s murder case making headlines, the group discussed how street loyalty has changed. Trel kept it real, saying, “If it ain’t got to do with me, I’m telling.”

BT challenged the idea, asking if the no-snitching code in the streets is outdated. “The streets are a myth,” JoJo added, questioning why people still stick to a code that often gets them in more trouble.

Fat Trel, however, doubled down on the importance of minding your business. “If it didn’t affect you, you shouldn’t be speaking on it. People get hurt because they open their mouths when they shouldn’t,” he said, pointing out the dangers that come with snitching.

The show lightened up when they read a Baller Mail submission from a guy asking how to get his girlfriend comfortable with him going out with his boys. Ferrari, who the crew calls a “retired cheater,” had a step-by-step plan: “Invite her with you one time. Show her how chill the vibes are, and next time she’ll be cool with you going solo.”

JoJo, however, suggested a different approach. “If she’s tripping, maybe you’re not making her feel secure in the relationship,” she added, advising him to give more reassurance and check in throughout the night.

After the fun, the spotlight turned back to Fat Trel’s music. He shared details about his journey from being signed to Maybach Music Group (MMG) to going independent, while still maintaining a strong bond with Rick Ross. “Ross gave me my first big check, and I’ll always have love for him,” Trel explained.

JoJo got straight to the point, asking why he’s no longer with MMG. Trel explained that it was purely a business decision: “It’s all love, but sometimes the business side doesn’t match up.” Now, he’s working on new music under 1RPM and teased the release of a deluxe edition of his project Boo’s Keeper, a tribute to his late brother.

The crew couldn’t let Fat Trel go without talking about his hometown’s influence on fashion. “DC started Nike Boots, Foams, and New Balances. That’s a fact!” Trel said proudly, sparking a debate about which city really put those styles on the map. He made it clear that DC’s streetwear legacy is undeniable.

In a cowgirls twist, Fat Trel revealed he’s a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, despite being from Washington, D.C.—home of the Commanders. The hosts were floored, with BT asking, “How does that even happen?” Trel explained that the Cowboys have a massive fan base in D.C., much to the dismay of local Commanders fans.

Fat Trel closed out the show by sharing his excitement for his new music and hinted at some heavyweight collaborations on the deluxe version of Boo’s Keeper. “You know I’m coming with more heat,” he said. With a lineup featuring names like EST Gee, Skilla Baby, and IDK, fans are in for a treat.
