AG Radio Welcome to the best night of your life
Savannah’s own Quando Rondo, whose real name is Tyquian Bowman, has just made headlines with a shocking guilty plea in a federal drug trafficking case. The rapper, known for hits like “I Remember,” now faces up to five years in prison after admitting his role in the conspiracy.
During a federal court hearing on Tuesday, Bowman accepted a plea deal that reduced his charges, offering a glimmer of hope for a lighter sentence. Despite this, the looming possibility of federal time has his fans and family on edge.
The legal process is far from over. A pre-sentencing investigation is next on the docket, where the details of Bowman’s involvement will be closely examined. After that, it’s up to the federal judge to decide his fate in a sentencing hearing scheduled for December 12th.
Following the court proceedings, Quando Rondo stepped up to the mic in a news conference and addressed his fans and the city of Savannah. In a sincere apology, he acknowledged the stress and pain his actions have caused.
“I really want to apologize to the city of Savannah, to my family, my friends, and especially to my daughters. I know this has been a difficult time for everyone who cares about me,” Bowman expressed, visibly emotional.
