On Wednesday, Jay-Z returned to the stage with a rare performance at Tom Brady‘s induction into the New England Patriots’ Hall of Fame. During the event, the rap legend surprised attendees with a performance of his 2003 hit “Public Service Announcement,” which Brady famously used as his walkout song during his time with the Patriots. Brady, who played for the NFL team from 2000 to 2020 and secured six Super Bowl titles, received a warm welcome in New England, which affirmed his legendary status within the region.

“Foxborough, make some noise! Put one hand in the air for the G.O.A.T., Mr. Tom Brady, tonight,” he said to the crowd.

This moment was exceptionally memorable, seeing as, for years, Brady would make his appearance on the field as the song was blasted from the Gillette Stadium speakers. The lyrics, “allow me to reintroduce myself,” would set the tone for the evening as Brady sprinted out towards the opposite end zone, where he would pump his fist in the air and yell out, “Let’s Go!”

Since the moment was rare, it quickly blew up on social media. Some people criticized the Roc Nation mogul for taking the stage, while others praised him for still being able to put on a show and rock the crowd. See what they had to say below:
